only to be extinguished by the cold stillness of this room

which makes me wonder: If there was nothing but the sky...
would you count the stars along with its vastness?

Resounding truth and its nakedness: we are exiles unclaimed by the world
here we would exchange words in its bareness
as meaning is meaning itself
all is made clear
in the mirrorlike qualities of this room
